Myrbetriq works by relaxing the bladder muscles, which helps to increase the bladder's capacity and reduce the symptoms of urgency and frequency. 

Can anyone take Myrbetriq? 

Myrbetriq is not suitable for everyone. People with severe uncontrolled high blood pressure, certain types of urinary tract blockages, end stage renal disease, severe kidney or liver disease or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult their healthcare provider before using Myrbetriq. 

How long does it take for Myrbetriq to work? 

Some people may notice an improvement in their symptoms within a few weeks, but it can take up to 8 weeks for the full benefits to be felt.

Dosage and Administration   

Dosage: 

  • The typical starting dose of Myrbetriq for adults is 25 mg taken once daily. 
  • The dose may be increased to 50 mg once daily. 
  • The maximum recommended dose is 50 mg per day.   

Administration: 

  • Myrbetriq should be taken orally, once daily. 
  • You can take Myrbetriq with or without food. 
  • Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not crush, chew, or split the tablet, as this can affect the medication’s effectiveness. 
  • Try to take the medication at the same time each day to help you remember and to maintain an even level of the drug in your body.  
Drug interactions  

Some medications can affect Myrbetriq, including but not limited to: 

  • duloxetine 
  • oxybutynin 
  • metoprolol 
  • tamsulosin 
  • tramadol 
  • trazodone
