Guys, THIS is How to Talk to Your Doctor About Erectile Dysfunction and Get Your Meds

News November 12, 2019 | CanadaOnlineHealth

If there is one thing that is true, it is that talking to your doctor about erectile dysfunction (ED) can be tough.  While there is no reason to feel embarrassed about any medical conditions, this is a topic that many men may avoid completely, sometimes hiding their condition for years.  Speaking openly with your doctor about difficulty achieving and/or sustaining an erection is important, as it may be a symptom of other medical problems.

Here are a couple of ways to make your visit to the doctor a little easier.

Write it down on paper

A lot of people blank out when facing their doctor with personal questions.  What if you could simply read your questions off a piece of paper or, if you have a hard time saying the words, just hand the list of questions to your doctor?  Having your questions written down will help you remember them, help you focus, and help you get the answers you need.  Be specific, though and list specific questions such as “How do I know if I have ED?”

It’s okay to say it your way

No one expects you to be comfortable saying the words ‘erectile dysfunction” or other medical terms, but you do need to tell your doctor what’s wrong.   Think about how you can best describe your situation to your doctor in words that are comfortable for you to use, such as:  “I think I am having problems in the bedroom,” or  “I’m having trouble getting it up and keeping it up.”  Believe us, your doctor will know what you are referring to.

When your doctor understands that you are referring to erectile dysfunction, he will then ask you some questions about your health,  possibly about your sex life, and your lifestyle in general so that they can begin to get a full picture of your situation and begin to look at possible prescription medications for erectile dysfunction for you to try, such as Viagra or Cialis or other treatments.

Your doctor and pharmacists are used to talking to patients about sensitive topics and, most importantly, they are there to help you.  Don’t hesitate to discuss your medical conditions or your concerns with your healthcare team.

Order your erectile dysfunction medications in private

You made it through your appointment with your doctor, you answered the questions, you went for the tests, and man that was tough!  Now you have your prescription in your hand – do you really want to face another person?  Ordering your Viagra or Cialis or other erectile dysfunction medication online lets you do it in private, alone, and no one has to know.   We receive hundreds of orders every month from people just like you and really, we get it! You deserve respect and privacy AND you deserve to know your medication is from a safe place.
